FEATURE: Focus on COACH CARTER

Occasionally, this blog will feature a focus on a random player on the team. This week, we start with our beloved coach, Coach Carter - one half of the dynamic Bumble Bee Ninja Assassins coaching duo.

By now, most of you are probably familiar with the story of Coach Carter.
But few of you may know of his career change late in life.

After conquering the world of coaching the delinquents of highschool basketball, as portrayed in the recent Hollywood documentary of his life, Coach Carter realized he had nothing left to give to the sport.

He was old. He was tired. And he realized that if Coach Carter II: Coach Strikes Back, was ever to be as successful as the first documentary about his life, he would have to make a major change.

So, he went on a soul searching climb to the highest mountains, looking for the answer to what was next for Coach Carter. Strangely, during his mountain sabbatical, he transformed into a young white dude, seen here in a rare moment of peace and solitude amongst the clouds and nature:

You'll note that Young Coach Carter is wearing the Official Shirt of the Bumble Bee Ninja Assassins, which magically appeared on his person during his mysterious tranformation in the mountains - proof that his destiny lies in abandoning the coaching of his highschool basketball tea, he has embraced that he is now a young white dude, and he has accepted his new role as....

Coach Carter, One-Half of the exciting coaching duo of the Bumble Bee Ninja Assassins.

We thank you, Coach Carter, for giving up your prestigious career as a highschool basketball coach, and finding your way to coaching our humble softball team. Thank you for leading our team to victory, week after week.

Except for this week when you screwed up the batting order.

But otherwise, thanks.

Still Winning!

The Bumble Bee Ninja Assassins brought home another win last night, making our season record 2-1!

Can you feel the excitement? We hope so. Because it was a little un-exciting last night, with a quiet-but-deadly game win. But of course, we are ninjas. Sneaky and silent.

It was a tough game, filled with confusing batting order strategy, and a sneak attack scoring system involving not swinging at pitches that resulted many, many walks across the plate. But, after what can only be termed as the First Softball Walkathon Ever, the Bumble Bee Ninja Assassins once again stang 'em, as well as ninja-ized 'em.

Talent and skill, purely.

Be sure to catch the exciting action again next week, as we take on another team.

We. Will. Bumble.

7:00pm.

Keeping up with the JBBNA

Have you ever asked yourself, "Self, when can I see the Journey Bumble Bee Ninja Assassins in action? I hear they are the best thing to hit softball since someone invented the bat."

Well, if you are Self, we have a schedule for you. Here are the remaining games for this season:

September 21 - 6:45
September 28 - 7:00
October 5 - 9:00
October 12 - 8:00 and 9:00
October 19 (HOMECOMING!!)- 8:00

And, as if knowing the schedule isn't awesome enough, you will see that October 19 is the Journey Bumble Bee Ninja Assassin Homecoming game. All past, present, and future players, coaches, and fans of the team are invited to watch your JBBNA team in action. Following the game will be an event of some sort, including an Awards ceremony.

It's an evening you won't want to miss. Especially if you've never seen a Homecoming mum on a ninja assassin.

Always ready to bumble...

The First Entry of the Bumble Bee Ninja Assassins

Welcome to the blog of your favorite softball team, the Journey Bumble Bee Ninja Assassins. Here you will find all the latest up-to-date news about the team, players, events, fans, and most importantly, the art of being Bumble Bee Ninja Assassins.

We have begun a new season of softball, and after our double-header season openers last week, I am proud to say that the team is 1-1.

This is a STELLAR opening performance by the JBBNA. After several seasons without winning a game as an earned win (ie: not winning because the other team didn't show up), this 1-1 start is very encouraging for the JBBNA.

The team was devastated by the loss of the first game of the night. At the conclusion of Game 1, Coach C gathered the team around him and gave a rousing, yet moving, halftime pep talk. Coach T handed out stickers of encouragement and cheer.

The result? The JBBNA got ready to bumble, and we brought forth a win in the second game.

NEVER have I seen a more inspiring comback in all of sports history.

The moral of the story? Team morale is the most important thing on the field. Where there is love and community, there is the ability to win.

Plus, that whole fact that we are ninja assassins. That helps, too.

To sum up the evening of softball, team member and fellow Bumble Bee Ninja Assassin Friend L was quoted as saying, "Yep. We ninja-ized them."

So true.

We encourage you to join us this week for another display of ninja assassing softball, which is a softball like none you've ever seen. Fans of all kinds are welcome, and appreciated.

BE THERE, and watch the Bumble Bee Ninja Assassins.... STING 'EM.

Wednesday, 9/21, 6:45 pm, Fair Oaks fields.

Ask a coach or JBBNA for directions.
